Catholic Life Prayer and Liturgy

The journey of Lent "unfolds amid the remembrance of our fragility and the hope that, at the end of the road, the Risen Lord is waiting for us," Pope Francis wrote in his homily for Ash Wednesday.

On Ash Wednesday, Mr Swindells, Deputy Head (Catholic Life) led the school community in prayer as entered the Season of Lent.

In his homily for Ash Wednesday, read by Cardinal De Donatis, Pope Francis wrote:

"The hope of Easter that we journey toward reassures us of God's forgiveness,"

The call of Lent, Pope Francis wrote, is a call to turn to the Lord and so become "a sign of hope for the world."

Our Sixth Form boys ministered to the school community in the distribution of ashes - a true sign of hope for the world.
