There were plenty of good reasons to celebrate when this year’s GCSE results were revealed.
The Year 11 boys celebrated with pride when they opened their envelopes. With more than 21% of all grades awarded at 7 or above, the results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of pupils and staff as well as the unwavering support of the boys’ families.
Headmaster Mr Murray said:
“I am incredibly proud of, and delighted by, the achievements of our pupils. We should never forget that this cohort’s early education at St Cuthbert’s was disrupted by the COVID pandemic. The boys have shown resilience and determination. These results reflect their commitment to their studies and the unwavering support they received from our dedicated staff. We are pleased that they have achieved the results that will open doors to exciting futures, whether that be continuing their education in our Sixth Form or embarking on appropriate college courses or apprenticeships.”
We are confident that these results will inspire future generations of pupils to strive for excellence and live out the school’s vision of ‘forming great men.'
